Women's huaraches should fit snugly but not tight — the leather straps will stretch and mold to your feet within the first 5–7 wears. Your toes should sit just at the front edge without hanging over, and your heel should align with the back of the footbed. Because our handwoven leather runs slightly large, we recommend ordering one full size down from your usual US women's shoe size (for example, if you wear a US 8, order a size 7).
oTeii women's huaraches are available in US sizes 5 through 10. Since our premium leather stretches with wear, size down one full size from your regular sneaker size. If you're between sizes or have wide feet, size down by half. Every pre-order pair is handcrafted, so we keep one size up and one size down in small-batch inventory for free exchanges if the fit isn't perfect.
Yes — huaraches pair beautifully with sundresses, maxi dresses, midi skirts, and linen pieces for a relaxed boho look, or with tailored shift dresses for a polished summer outfit. The cognac and shedron (warm reddish-brown) colors complement earth tones and whites, while black huaraches work with nearly any dress color. For evening wear, our closed-toe Cancun style dresses up easily with slacks or a wrap dress.
Yes. oTeii women's huaraches feature a memory foam insole that molds to your feet, handwoven ultra-soft leather straps that eliminate pressure points, and a durable rubber sole for traction. Most customers report they're able to walk for 6+ hours without discomfort, even on the first wear — though we still recommend a short break-in period of 3–5 short wears to fully soften the leather.
Yes — real leather huaraches naturally stretch about half a size over the first 2–3 weeks of wear as the woven straps soften and conform to your foot shape. This is why we recommend sizing down: a pair that feels slightly snug out of the box will settle into the perfect fit. To speed up the break-in, wear them around the house for 20–30 minutes at a time before extended outings.
The Sayulita is our classic open-toe strappy huarache — the most traditional silhouette, perfect for summer and beach days. The Cancun is a closed-toe woven huarache that offers more coverage and dresses up easily, ideal for spring, fall, or cooler evenings. The Cozumel is a slip-on huarache mule — the easiest to wear, with no buckles or straps to adjust, best for running errands or travel.
Wipe your huaraches with a dry cloth after each wear to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with a drop of mild soap — never submerge them in water. Condition the leather every 2–3 months with a neutral leather conditioner to maintain softness and prevent cracking. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and avoid wearing them in heavy rain.
